ANUGERAH TOKOH KRAF NEGARA 2007

Habibah Zikri receives the honorary title of National Craftsman Award 2007. The award was presented by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi during the recent National Craft Day organised by the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation under the Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry. She received the title for her contribution in preserving the art of traditional songket weaving through her work while revolutionizing the songket weaving industry. She was chosen among nine candidate short listed from various crafts background.
